This recipe is one of the first i ever learnt from my mom since she would make it atleast every two weeks and i had been the negligent souschef enough as a youngster to have more or less picked up what was going on.
My moms name isnt actually sue, her name is Soheyla, she was named after the Canopus star, the second brightest in the sky after Sirius. Sirius currently being the name of the avenue she lives on right now, lol you cant make this stuff up.
The funny part is suuu in Azari; my parents first language and my second language, means water and has always been my dads nickname for her even before ever knowing a word in english, he is one of those nickname people, he has called me sunny since i can remember and being the only person that does it. So naturally when people cant pronounce my moms name or find it difficult she just says call me sue. So therefore maman sues easy chicken recipe but really it should be called maman soheylas recipe. Its so Easy, you just sear the chicken a bit, add turmeric and salt, then you top it off with chunks of carrot and onion. you add garlic, juice of 2 lemons and half a cup of water and you let it all simmer for 20-30 minutes. you can make it spicy by adding cayenne pepper as you eat it if you want. Thats it and you make a side of delicious basmati rice for a hearty meal or a toast of sourdough for a quick snack or lunch. Its wholesome, nourishing, flavourful and juicy. A Great choice even when you're feeling sick or down with ascension flu or when youre hitting the workouts / gym and building muscle.
