Food as Thy Medicine and Medicine as Thy Food

Saysun is the name of the Village both my parents are from. My father still lived there when he was displaced as a young man by the military during the revolution of 1979. One day he came home and they had ransacked the house, taken all their deeds to all other land they owned in nearby cities. Subsequently the village was permanently dissolved and they were forced to flee to Tehran where my grandfather was almost immediately hit by a car and passed. 

These Medicines are an ode to our ancestors and all the lost potentials of healing, connection and stories that would be here if it weren't for the targeted attack on lineages that held this friendship with nature spirits in place even through the toughest times, May we be able to bring back into remembrance all that has been lost by the war on our beloved human, plant, animal and crystal families, here and now. May we rise and heal one another with our piece of the puzzle.
